One project I’m particularly proud of building is OGym, a full-stack fitness platform designed to connect gym owners, trainers, and members into a single intelligent system. I designed and developed the entire platform end-to-end, including the frontend interface, backend APIs, database architecture, and AI integrations. The platform functions as both a consumer fitness app and a gym operating system, allowing gyms to manage members, trainers, and fitness data while giving users a complete health tracking experience. A core part of the platform is Dika AI, an AI assistant I built that analyzes user behavior across workouts, nutrition, activity, and recovery to generate personalized insights. Instead of just tracking workouts like traditional fitness apps, the system focuses on understanding long-term behavioral patterns to help people improve their health more intelligently. The application integrates mobile health data, structured fitness tracking, and conversational AI into one system. It is currently live on the Apple App Store and being used by real users, which has been an incredibly rewarding experience after building the system from scratch. Building OGym required solving challenges across product design, scalable backend systems, AI integration, and user experience, and it continues to evolve as I test it with gyms and users.

I have built plenty of websites that I am really proud of. One that I really enjoyed creating was the Red Beards Outfitters website. I created it as part of a class, and even got to take pictures of products and the owner in order to really tell the story of the brand. This was as part of a college class, my professor was so impressed she offered me a job after graduation. This website is :https://redbeardsoutfitter.com Some others I am proud of are: https://www.jasperalabamaidb.com https://www.maisonmariann.com https://www.bertuccibrothersplumbing.com

One thing I’m particularly proud of creating is my first ever app. I used to see people on LinkedIn posting about building their third or even thirtieth apps, and I was always curious about how they actually did it. I remember searching online and learning that I would need strong skills in HTML, Java, and CSS to build one. At the time, however, I had already committed to learning Python, so building an app felt a bit out of reach. That changed when I participated in the Alabama Collective Hackathon. Through the program, I had the opportunity to build a safety tool using the Gemini API, a resource I discovered after completing a Generative AI course through Google and TMCF. Using the Gemini API, I developed an app with several features designed to enhance safety, including voice activation, audio-to-text transcription, and real-time location sharing. Building this app was exciting because it showed me that I could transform an idea into something functional even without mastering every programming language I initially thought I needed. It also strengthened my AI prompting skills, since I had to carefully structure prompts to help the AI accurately implement the app’s capabilities. Through this 8-week program, I hope to gain mentorship and better understand how Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) are built and what it takes to launch a product. Inspired by my first project, I’m already thinking about my next idea: an app designed for college students that stores and manages gift cards digitally, helping them track small remaining balances so those last few dollars aren’t lost or forgotten when the physical card is thrown away. Creating my first app showed me that curiosity and experimentation can turn an idea into something real, and it motivated me to keep building.

I love creating and coming up with new ideas. I have a background in fashion and for an independent project, I made a small flat sketch collection inspired by the lunar moth! I loved the light and whimsical feeling if it. The weightless playfulness and a twist of y2k aesthetic just fills me with joy. When I finally showed my friends my moodboard and flat sketches, they were amazed and impressed by my thought process and the conceptualization of a beautiful moth. One day I would like to make those pieces.

In 2019 I spent 6-8 months developing brand identity, marketing strategy, Product & Website design for my clothing brand “Club Best” this was my introduction to entrepreneurship and I’m so appreciative for that time & everything I learned. In addition to this I also create documentary films my most recent film I produced, shot, & edited had the opportunity to be submitted to the National Association of Television Arts & Science for consideration for an Emmy. Last Semester at Alabama State University I had the pleasure of participating in an A.I Pitch Comp where participants used A.I Tools to create business plans & presentations to pitch their ideas. I used my media expertise to create a pitch for a Streaming Service catering to students studying any form of Law. This Service would be a hub for law content. trial footage, contract negotiations etc. Think YouTube But for Law students, an extensive library assisting study. Although I didn’t win the competition I was very proud of my courage to create something so quickly, and communicate it to an audience confidently. In conclusion, my experience in entrepreneurship along with my love for storytelling has motivated me to continue on the journey of creation. As of lately, I’ve started planning a new venture within the Hospitality industry. Which I believe will be very innovative and impactful. I’m excited to learn more about unlock Alabama and bring my new ideas to life.

One thing I’m really proud of building is a mobile app called XperED, which is a gamified financial literacy app. The idea came from noticing that a lot of young people never really get taught how to manage money in a practical way. I wanted to create something that makes learning about saving, spending, and investing feel interactive instead of boring. In the app, the player goes through different stages of life and has to make financial decisions in real-world scenarios. For example, they might choose whether to save money, spend it, or invest it, and those choices affect what happens later in the game. I worked on designing the structure of the app, connecting it to a database, and building features that track the user’s progress and decisions over time. What I’m most proud of is that it combines technology with real social impact. The goal isn’t just to make a game but to help people build better financial habits and understand money earlier in life. Seeing the idea go from a concept to something that actually works has been really rewarding for me.

ChessBlindspots - an AI chess coach that analyzes your games and identifies your specific tactical weaknesses. I built it from scratch over 8 weeks as part of the Innovation Portal internship. You enter your chess.com username, it fetches your last 10 games, runs Stockfish analysis on every move, and shows you exactly what patterns you keep missing - not vague advice like "study tactics," but specific insights like "you blunder knights in the middlegame between moves 21-30." It includes a full practice mode where you drill your actual mistakes as puzzles, with retry queues for wrong answers and session summaries showing your accuracy. The app is live at chess-blindspots.vercel.app with 10,000+ lines of React/TypeScript code. I built it end-to-end - game fetching, Stockfish integration, interactive chess boards, analytics dashboard, practice mode - and documented the entire process publicly on LinkedIn and Substack. What makes me proud isn't just that it works, but that real chess players can use it to improve.

My son and I built a mixed media sculpture with wood and 3d printing. It is a pyramid inverted on another pyramid inverted on top of it with smaller identical sculptures reduced inside of the larger designs. He designed it and I helped him build and assemble it. It won a regional art competition and went to state. I also built a website using AI to summarize our notes and discussions about the company and populate the content of the site. www.dpxcre.com Finally ai have designed two platforms that we have built into two MVPs. One for Section 8 HUD compliance and the other for multi family commercial real estate analysis. Through the process we have realized a few things. 1. People are inherently scared of AI in the workplace and we need to present in a way that elicits excitement rather than fear of job security. 2. IP protectionism is probably the wrong posture to take when formulating value propositions. 3. Building for self use is probably most immediately Benificial. The question is how or if to share advantages. SAS subscription models seem attractive, but consumption models may be sticker and more efficient. I’m looking for a place to explore these concepts and get feedback. We are presenting our findings in the Commercial Real estate space this week at the American Real Estate Society. We have been working with cloudelligent and AWS on this platform. We are ready to take it to the next level.

One project I’m genuinely proud of is a data analysis pipeline I built to process and analyze transactional data. The goal was to identify patterns in user behavior and highlight anomalies that could indicate fraud or inefficiencies. I handled the full workflow end-to-end — data cleaning, transformation, and building the analysis logic using Python and SQL. One challenge was dealing with inconsistent and missing data, which initially led to unreliable outputs. I solved this by implementing validation checks and restructuring the preprocessing stage to standardize inputs. In the end, the system was able to surface key insights such as unusual transaction spikes and behavioral trends that weren’t obvious before. More importantly, it made the analysis repeatable instead of manual, which significantly improved efficiency. What I’m most proud of is not just the final output, but the fact that I built something practical that solved a real problem and could be reused or extended.

As someone who works primarily in advisory services for small businesses, I’m often encountered with bad UIs and low-utilization softwares that are the centerpiece of a business due to an owner or manager making the call to invest entirely into the platform several years back, where the company now feels pinned to the product. These platforms usually create mass inefficiencies and nuance to the every day process, yet due to specifics of the company’s products or services, or just the daunting task of switching platforms, the company remains in place with their platform. Just recently, I was able to identify an issue with one of my company’s platforms, identify the missing pieces, and utilize Claude and a coworker to create a web-based application for this company to redirect a great portion of its day-to-day operations through. They’ve now used this for a month and are asking for more features to be added!

The system I developed for my fraternity as Academic Chair makes me extremely proud. I created an academic tracking system that allowed the chapter to monitor GPA progression and establish study hall rules while creating academic probation plans to track member progress. The program I developed was not about enforcing rules but about helping people become better, which I did through personal meetings with members to help them create achievable targets, while I connected them with campus resources to assist their needs. The chapter's academic environment improved through my work with individual members and I discovered my passion for creating impactful systems that support people's achievement.

One project I am especially proud of is Sentinel Campus, an emergency intelligence system designed to improve how colleges respond to student medical and safety situations. While it was a team project, I made major contributions to the system design, user flow, and core features. Sentinel Campus is built as a university-integrated layer on Apple’s ecosystem, connecting students, campus police, and administrators through faster, more reliable communication. In an emergency, a student can activate the system instantly using their iPhone or Apple Watch. It then generates a structured, AI-powered summary including location, identity, and critical health information (with consent), which is sent directly to campus police or emergency services to improve response time and clarity. I also contributed to the idea of post-incident verification. After an emergency, students can upload medical documentation, which is securely verified and converted into official, university-ready records for professors or administrators. This addresses a common issue where students struggle to provide timely, credible documentation. This project stands out to me because it combines technical design with real-world impact. It pushed me to think about how systems should function in high-stress situations and how technology can reduce delays, improve communication, and better support students when it matters most.

One thing I made before was putting a business together in detailing cars. I believe I had the right knowledge to start it but don’t have the capital to run it and only it as a source of income for myself so it’s something I keep to the side right now. I’ve made detailed package lists of what work people can have done, made business cards, and done some social media advertising.

Over the past five years, I’ve had the opportunity to build and evolve my business in ways I’m deeply proud of. What started as a graphic design service has grown into a strategic platform and company where I partner with founders to clarify their message, communicate with intention and build the kind of influence their vision deserves. Through that process, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful clear storytelling and aligned communication can be; not just for brands, but for people. That realization has led me to my next step: creating a community centered on genuine connection. A space where conversation, collaboration and shared growth are prioritized, and where people don’t just build ideas, but build with each other. This evolution reflects both my personal growth and my commitment to helping others move from simply creating content to creating meaningful impact.

During a recent 36-hour hackathon, I collaborated with a team of four (including me) to build Tecspacs, a lightweight, visual snippet and mini-package manager designed specifically for developers. We noticed that while tools like npm are great for large-scale projects, developers lacked a "digital sketchbook" for quickly saving and reusing small code utilities. To solve this, we built an entire ecosystem from scratch in just a weekend, including: A Web App: Featuring a unique "sticky-note" UI built with React and Tailwind CSS. AI Integration: We implemented the Gemini API to help users automatically summarize and improve their code snippets. Cross-Platform Tools: I’m particularly proud that we didn't just stop at a website; we also developed a functional CLI tool and a VS Code extension so developers could access their snippets without leaving their terminal or editor. Handling full-stack authentication (via Auth0) across three different platforms in such a short timeframe was a massive challenge, but seeing the entire system sync perfectly was incredibly rewarding. It taught me how to move fast from ideation to a functional product while keeping the user’s creative flow at the center of the design.

I’m currently working on a workout app that helps people target specific areas of their body in a more intentional way. I came up with the idea because I noticed a lot of people go to the gym without really knowing how to structure their workouts, so I wanted to create something more guided and personalized. I’ve also worked on a smart mirror prototype that allows users to visualize outfits and shop directly from the mirror, along with an emergency wearable ring concept designed to discreetly alert emergency services and share a user’s location when activated. I enjoy creating ideas that combine technology, design, and real life impact. Recently, I’ve also been building my content, where I focus on mindset and discipline. I’m proud of this because it reflects my consistency and my ability to turn ideas into something real. Overall, I’m excited to continue bringing my ideas to life over time.

I’m currently building a proof-based development system called Spatial Mentoring. The idea is to help people move from simply saying what they can do (résumés) to actually showing what they can do through real work, progression, and proof. Right now, I’ve started with a hands-on execution model through custom emblem refinishing as a way to create repeatable work, capture it, and track improvement over time. I’ve been documenting the process, identifying mistakes, refining technique, and thinking through how this can become a structured system where students can: • log real work • receive feedback • show progression • build a portfolio of proof What I’m most proud of is that I didn’t start with an app idea — I started by doing the work first so I can build something grounded in real experience. This project is the foundation for what I believe can become a larger platform for skill-based development across trades and beyond.

I'm a pediatric critical care nurse at Children's of Alabama finishing my doctorate at UAB, and I've been teaching myself to build apps on the side. I now have three published iOS apps and an LLC (Martin Apps LLC). The one I'm most proud of is Burn Wizard: an app that teaches medical students how to assess burn injuries. Users tap on an interactive body map to mark burns, and it generates a full treatment plan: IV fluid calculations, burn center referral criteria, and dressing recommendations. It has a daily challenge mode (like Wordle but for burn care), supports English and Spanish, and has over 1,500 automated tests. It's live on the App Store now. I also built Wilderness Survival Companion, an offline survival guide sourced entirely from the U.S. Army Survival Manual, SAS guides, and CDC/NOAA data. It includes weather calculators, plant identification, knot-tying diagrams, and a solo hiker safety timer. Also on the App Store. The project I'm most excited about going forward is BoardBound: an AI-powered board exam prep app for nurse practitioner students. It pairs a question bank with a conversational AI tutor that explains the clinical reasoning behind each answer. I've formed the LLC, set up pricing, and I'm building toward an iOS launch. Long-term, I want to sell directly to nursing schools. On the research side, I'm leading a project at Children's of Alabama using nnU-Net (a neural network architecture for medical image segmentation) to automatically measure optic pathway glioma tumors in children with Neurofibromatosis Type 1 from MRI scans. I recruited the Director of Pediatric Neuro-oncology at Children's and the Associate Professor of Neuroradiology at UAB onto the project team. Paper under review, $10K grant application in. All of this built from Birmingham. I know that I may be slightly late to the application process, but I am confident that I could be a valuable addition to this program and learn a great deal as well!

I’m proud of creating systems that help people grow and perform where none existed. At Enterprise, I built simple routines: huddles, coaching moments, and check-ins, that turned new hires into top performers and strengthened team culture, all while seeing the impact continue without me. I take the same approach in youth leadership at my church: spotting gaps, building solutions, testing them, and refining.

One thing I’ve created that I’m really proud of is Lifeline. It’s an initiative I started to address something I kept noticing—how many people don’t have access to basic health information or essential resources. I didn’t want to just recognize the problem and move on. I wanted to actually build something that could help, even if it started small. That’s where Lifeline came from. The goal is simple: make health information and resources more accessible, especially for people who are often overlooked. Building Lifeline wasn’t just about having an idea, it made me intentional. I had to figure out what it would look like, how it would reach people, and how to make it something real instead of just something I talked about. That process taught me a lot about taking initiative, staying consistent, and following through, even when things aren’t perfectly clear. What I’m most proud of is that Lifeline reflects who I am and what I care about. It connects directly to why I chose biomedical engineering in the first place, not just to learn, but to apply what I learn in ways that actually help people. It showed me that impact doesn’t have to wait until the future. I can start building it now. Lifeline is still growing, but that’s part of it. I’m continuing to develop it and think about how it can reach more people and have a stronger impact. More than anything, it showed me that I’m capable of turning an idea into something real, and that’s something I’ll carry with me moving forward.

I designed a web app that is fully functional and is in the demo stage. It is called Verifeye, an intelligence sharing network aimed at increasing and improving public safety starting in Montgomery then moving to other cities. Im proud of this because I learned so much while making it and I truly believe that is a viable solution to a problem we face here in Montgomery.

I started doing comedy in 2010, both standup and improv. In 2011, at a time when there was really no comedy scene in Huntsville, I created Huntsville's first independent standup comedy show, Epic Comedy Hour. In 2012, I moved to Atlanta to pursue a graphic design/print production career. There, I got into improv even more. I started 2 shows at Marietta's Theatre in the Square, one standup showcase and one improv show. I moved back to Huntsville in 2023, and got involved with an independent comedy theatre, where I created and produced 4 different shows over a 2 year period, while also serving on the board and participating in others' shows. In December 2025, I stepped away from that theatre to start focusing on creating my own place. I've been doing the performing & behind the scenes work for independent comedy shows since 2010, and it's time I start doing it myself instead of for someone else.

During Covid I ran an Etsy shop for various arts and craft style items. Door wreaths, picture collages, flipped furniture. Really though, I have created more ideas than I can even begin to explain. I think often about MANY different avenues of entrepreneurship and how I would/can achieve them but the bottom line is that no matter what I need to start with funds. Which I don’t have. I think my biggest dream would be to have a trendy shipping container development with entertainment, food, and something for everyone. Living in a college town, it seems like there’s nothing else to do other than go to a bar with kids trying to pass as 21. I enjoy a drink but want more than to sit at a bar top and listen to gossip. Other ideas I’ve curated are a drive in movie theater, restaurants, mobile bar business, bakery/coffee shop, real estate investing, and so much more. Everyone I talk to about these things, I end with “I just want something.” I want to do the hard things, I want to build something of my own. I want to create a community where people feel inspired. How can I build an empire without money to build it? I’m working two jobs to pay off student loan debt and feel that all of my ideas, potential, and prime years are going to waste. To answer the basic question asked… I’m proud of my ideas, determination, and commitment to making them come true someday.

I’ve hosted an in-person endometriosis awareness event in Birmingham Alabama, where I brought together women to learn, share experiences, and feel supported, something that was surprisingly difficult to organize but incredibly impactful. I’ve also created digital resources like ebooks and symptom trackers, and I currently offer one-on-one consultations to help women better prepare for their healthcare visits. My first art class ever - Studio Art sophomore year of high school - we used pastels to learn about color theory and the color wheel. As a class we were replicating still life portraits of pears. The pears were the first pieces of art that I made and was proud of. Christmas break hit and I forgot to grab them...come back to never see them again haha! That story reminds me that all things worth having emotions over are fleeting. Art is meant to be shared not hoarded, although I miss them - I know I can re create them if I choose to. Experience and lessons over the tangible here and now. I am proud of the steps I took back then to develop an artistic stripe and I am proud of the consistency I have had in maintaining it.

My name is Muhunga. I’m Congolese, and I’ve spent time living in South Africa. I’m currently studying Economics and Civil Engineering at Portland Community College. Through these experiences, I’ve seen a consistent gap between talent and opportunity—students have ideas and ambition, but lack structure, access, and real-world application. I’m building a platform designed to unlock student-driven innovation. It presents real-world problems from communities and industries, and incentivizes students to develop practical, well-structured solutions. This shifts learning from theory to action, allowing users to build meaningful portfolios. The platform also includes collaborative spaces for coding and projects, job simulations for hands-on experience, and direct access to internships, mentorships, and fellowships. It features a failure library for learning from past mistakes, peer-to-peer learning networks, and tools for resume feedback and career guidance. By integrating learning, experience, and opportunity into one system, this platform empowers students to graduate with real skills, real experience, and the ability to solve meaningful problems.

I’ve been teaching English as a second language (ESL) for about a year now, and a few months in, I noticed a problem. Because my students range from young children to adults in different professions, it was taking a long time to prepare each class. I needed a faster way to create tailored, high-quality lessons without spending so much time on prep, so I built a system to do it in under five minutes. At the beginning of each week, I use Canva to create a themed PDF, one for kids and one for adults. It includes a welcome, review of the last lesson, a warmup, and a section for questions. Then I pull premade lessons from sites like ESL Pals or SuperEnglish to teach general or business English. For adults, the premade lessons are okay, but I’ve noticed most curriculums don’t include natural dialogue. When they do, it’s usually short, rough, and not how an American actually speaks. There are also no personalized dialogues. For example, one of my students moved from China to Seattle and runs her own preschool. She struggled with real conversations, like talking to parents or her assistant teacher. She needed practice with things like parent/teacher conferences or discussing a child’s behavior with a parent while offering solutions. Curriculums don’t cover those kinds of real-life situations, so I use AI to quickly generate four vocabulary words and a realistic dialogue tailored to the student. I skim it, adjust the tone if needed, and the whole process takes less than a minute. Many ESL students learn how to read and write English as children, but don’t get much conversational practice. As adults, speaking is usually what they struggle with the most. These personalized dialogues help fill that gap by giving them realistic, real-life conversation practice. It brings the quality of their lessons to a completely different level. Overall, this approach has been effective at saving time and giving students real, practical speaking results they can actually use.

In 2016 I started my first business, a catering company, "Papa Dan's Grill Catering Co." with intention to turn it into a full supper club. As many who started out in this space around the time I did, I had very limited resources and had to get creative with nearly every aspect of my business. After being laid off from my first full-time job. I started this business with my last pay check and the little bit of little money I got in unemployment. Shortly after I started Papa Dan's I found work at a brewery/restaurant and my business took a backseat until 2018. After a while of working in someone else's restaurant, I saw why I so deeply wanted my own, now with more context and color on the intricacies of the space. I decided to dive back in, it was a lofty goal as a full time supervisor and lead cook at the brewery, but I wanted the freedom and flexibility to cook what I wanted, how I wanted for who I wanted and who wanted me. I came into this space hungry, and I took the gigs I could get, on days off or after work. I catered some events, some bday parties, some holiday functions and a baby shower or two. I worked through car breakdowns, inclement weather situations and an eventual nearly life altering car-accident. I wanted to give up so many times, but I kept trying my best. In all honesty, Papa Dan's never took off the way I wanted it to, but it inspired me and drove me to continue on in other entrepreneurial endeavors and to work with others on how to build sustainable businesses. I learned so much about branding, marketing, product market fit, timing, time/bandwidth management and entrepreneurship as a whole. I am proud of my ability to create and strive for something in a very crowded and difficult space in a tumultuous time in my life. I am proud of my exploration into what food can be and do for people and how it links and binds people that may have never been in similar rooms. I am proud of the genuine connections I initiated and the memories made.

Honesty, I had to sit with this question, it made me reflect on the last few months and years. I have built design systems, apps, websites, etc. but the thing I am most proud to have made is…a shirt. Let me explain. I am a UX designer by trade, and most of my work exists digitally. Lately, I have desired a more tactile experience to creating and I took a moment to observe things that inspire me. The thing at the forefront of this exploration was fashion. I have always loved clothes, especially the feeling of wearing something crafted with care. I thought to myself “I want to learn how to use my hands to create something.” Months later I found myself with a sewing machine, some fabric, and an audacious amount of confidence. At the time I had never sewn anything at all, much less a shirt, but I was obsessed with the idea of learning something new. I did not start small. I decided to jump head first into making an item of clothing I wear often; a button up shirt from the first stitch to the very last detail. I was inspired by the level of dedication and craft that tailors put into their work and the level of dedication that goes into making a bespoke garment. I cut each piece by hand, meticulously sewed, ripped, and resewed over and over until I was satisfied. I was able to dive deep into a state of focus while working on the shirt, forcing myself to slow down. Speed was not the goal, instead it was craftsmanship. The process became extremely intimate, rewarding, and most of all, humbling. After many broken stitches, a few pin pricked fingers, and a lot of self doubt, I finished the shirt. I even went as far as to hand finish details such as buttons and hems. I poured so much of myself into this garment. In the end, was the button up shirt good? No. But it was perfect because I made it. I bet on myself to do something I have never done before, and I did it. So in the end, even with wobbly lines and imperfect details, I am still proud of my humble shirt.

One of the projects I’m most proud of is a mental health application I conceptualized during the ServiceNow NextGen Externship I completed in 2023. I collaborated with a small team to bring the idea to life, focusing on creating a solution that supports teenagers navigating mental health challenges in a way that feels accessible and approachable. I led and designed the process automation systems that powered the experience, building workflows that allowed users to schedule therapy appointments with ease, receive timely updates, and stay connected throughout their care journey. I also created automated reporting systems that gave our team clear, reliable insights without adding manual workload. What matters most to me is the purpose behind it. The idea started from recognizing how isolating mental health struggles can feel, especially for young people who may not know where to turn. I wanted to create something that offered structure, support, and a sense of guidance during that experience. That project reinforced how I approach building. I lead with intention, I think about the people behind the problem, and I focus on creating solutions that genuinely make life easier.

One thing I’m especially proud of is the combination of research and innovation projects I’ve worked on during my master’s in Management Information Systems. I’ve led and contributed to team projects where we explored real-world business problems and designed creative, technology-driven solutions, which strengthened both my analytical and leadership skills and Certificates. Alongside academics, I’ve also worked on projects that blend creativity with purpose, including presentations and concept videos that imagine future innovations. Beyond my coursework, I enjoy expressing myself through arts and crafts, photography, and capturing moments in nature, which keeps me inspired and balanced. Music is another big part of my life, it fuels my creativity and helps me stay motivated. Altogether, I’m proud of how I’ve been able to combine technical knowledge, research, and creativity into meaningful work that reflects both my professional growth and personal passions.

One of the things I’m most proud of building is The Fútbol Method, my soccer training and mentorship business. I started it because I saw a gap in the market. A lot of private soccer training focuses only on drills or technical improvement, but I wanted to build something more complete and meaningful. The Fútbol Method is built around the idea that soccer can be a tool to develop discipline, confidence, accountability, leadership, and long-term vision, not just better players. What I’m proud of is that I didn’t just come up with the idea. I’ve actually been building it piece by piece in real life. I developed the training philosophy, the service structure, pricing models, mentorship concept, social impact initiative, research projects to understand customer perception, and the overall brand direction. I’ve also worked directly with players and families, which has helped me test ideas in the real world instead of only thinking about them in theory. I’m especially proud that it reflects who I am. As a former player, current coach, and business student, The Fútbol Method brings together my background in soccer, leadership, and entrepreneurship into something that can genuinely help people. It’s still growing, but that’s part of why I’m proud of it. It’s not just an idea; it’s something real that I’ve built, tested, improved, and continued shaping with purpose.

I am a hands-on person; I enjoy building things by hand. I like projects or ideas that my wife sees and wants to purchase, those are the things that I enjoy building the most. When we built or first home, she wanted a solid oak farm table for the dining room, we went on a mission to find the perfect table. However, when we found the perfect table, it was more than I could afford. I looked at the table and made a list in my head and asked if she was ready. She looked a bit disappointed because she really liked this table. As we pulled out of the parking lot, she asked where we were going, I said to Lowes to purchase material to build this table. While she still looked disappointed and reserved on my ability to build the table, she said OK. It took me several weeks to build the table, but it was finished before we moved in. But the best part was the look on her face when she finally saw this table that I had built for our family, she said it is perfect! It is exactly what I wanted, how did you know I would have changed the legs on that table at the store if I could have? It was the way she kept looking at them and the other tables that she liked the legs on. These are the projects that I love. I also enjoy cooking for a large group, but what I enjoy most about this is always having a dish that no one knows exactly what it is. I like to put things together or combine recipes and ideas to come up with something new and different.

I have not build anything; a nurse for 47 years and witnessed the layout of giving more importance to computer documentation than actual patient care. I want to develop an app that with one click will provide all the necessary charting for a specific unit like ICU, telemetry, medical-surgical units. The required documentations kept adding taking us away from bedside nursing. Most of us nurses have to stay longer after our shift just to complete charting our tasks. Withe combined forces of the involved intelligent minds, anything is possible to build. I know I am of age, 71 years old, but I am currently enrolled in the MBA program and thriving. If given the chance and this project materialize, it will benefit a lot of my co-nurses! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to apply!

One of the projects I am most proud of is a 7 day global campaign I created inspired by Marilyn Monroe, designed to position and scale a Nigerian fashion designer, Vera, into international visibility and demand. The objective was to reintroduce the iconic Marilyn Monroe gown to U.S. audiences while expanding its global resonance. I recognized the gown already carried emotional and cultural weight, women across the world could see themselves in it, so the strategy focused on positioning, reach, and connection. From the start, this was built for global impact. The messaging and visuals were crafted to resonate across North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia including India, the Middle East, and across Africa, including West, East, North, and South Africa. This reach was intentional, centered on femininity, elegance, and aspiration, while elevating a Black designer within a global luxury context. The campaign followed a structured 7 day rollout, each day inspired by iconic Marilyn Monroe moments, translated through a modern lens. The storytelling allowed women across backgrounds to connect with the piece and see themselves in it. The results were immediate and sustained. Within 48 hours, I grew the designer’s audience from 400 to 1,600 followers organically. The campaign generated over 21 gown sales and continues to drive purchases. Launched in August, the campaign is still producing daily engagement, visibility, and sales as of April. This was not a temporary spike, but a system designed to sustain attention and convert over time. During a period of global division, the campaign brought together women and men across cultures through a shared sense of beauty and identity. That level of resonance reinforced the power of intentional storytelling. This project reflects how I operate. I do not just create content, I build strategic systems and narratives that scale globally, drive revenue, and create lasting impact.

One of the things I’m most proud of creating is my book Behind the Uniform: Not Just a Cop, where I explored the mental health experiences of individuals in policing and armed forces. What started as a writing project evolved into a practical resource and bestselling book in India. I integrated cognitive behavioral techniques, emotional intelligence frameworks, and reflective exercises to make it both relatable and actionable. Seeing it resonate with readers and grow into a bestseller showed me the impact of combining storytelling with structured tools. More recently, I have been building in the AI space. I designed an automated workflow using Google Docs, Google Drive, and AI tools to track and summarize meeting notes into key insights and action items. It was a small but meaningful system that improved clarity and saved time, and it pushed me to think about how technology can support human-centered work. Across both experiences, I have learned that I enjoy building things that sit at the intersection of insight, empathy, and practical impact.

I am currently building a website for my fiancé and I’s wedding. I am still in the process of building it but it currently has a login system connected to a google sheet as the back end for the guest list so that attendees can rsvp through the website. I am hosting it on a docker container in my own server. I have also been working on a project at work to enable us to track costs and reclaimed money for lost or damaged shipments, as the company I work at does not currently track lost revenue or recouped costs associated with shipping carrier claims. It uses a Microsoft list as the data storage, with a form being used to intake claims made by our warehouse. The salesperson will get an automated email alert that a claim was filed for one of their orders and will give them the details as well as any attachments uploaded. The emails are automated through Microsoft power automate. I am working on streamlining the process for reminding the responsible party of any open claims that haven’t been closed out and allowing the claims to be updated from the notification with ease to increase adoption as well as trying to capture all the data. I am proud of these projects because they made me realize that I enjoy systems, optimization, and automation and also made me realize the capability AI has to assist me in building things I never would have imagined being able to build myself, as my background is in mechanical engineering.

I'm very proud of a recent logo design I did for a business concept my friend had that we are working on together. The business is centered around making graphic T-shirts but the primary concept is in the direction of supporting ADHD women with some special attention toward those who come from a Muslim community as well. My friend had a name but no branding direction, so I handled the brand design and created a logo to match the name of wired & worthy, along with some general style input. I created a lightbulb with a unique shape that echoes domes found in Islamic Religious architecture. The filament creates the shape of a heart within the bulb, to emphasize the feeling of self-love and self-worth the brand aims to emanate. I just think every element of the design came together perfectly to represent the brand and the vision so it makes me really happy and proud.

The project I’m most proud of building is a beauty-tech mobile app I created to make nail art easier. I built the app from the ground up after noticing how frustrating it can be to communicate nail design ideas, compare polish shades, and visualize how a set will look beforehand. The app lets users experiment with nail designs, preview colors, and create more intentional nail inspiration. I designed and developed the app myself using Flutter for the mobile frontend and AWS services for the backend, including authentication, storage, and custom services. I also built features like a nail editor, image upload flow, real-world shade matching logic, user profiles, saved designs, and analytics tracking so I could understand how people were using the product.

At first, I ran into a lot of bugs and things didn’t work the way I expected, but I kept testing, debugging, and improving my code until everything ran correctly. What I’m most proud of is how much I grew during the process. I learned how to break down a problem into smaller steps, stay patient when things weren’t working, and find solutions on my own. By the end, I had a program that was not only functional but also something I truly understood. It showed me that I enjoy problem-solving and creating things from scratch, especially when I can see my progress over time.

Three weeks into my exciting campus experience, I was sitting in the cafeteria when I heard gunshots coming from outside. That single, seemingly peaceful afternoon turned into a bleak nightmare. That would put a taint on my perfect freshman campus experience and mar my memory of it to this day. One day, I was coming out of my Signals and Systems class and thought to myself, I just learned about FFTs and signal processing (some technical stuff) why don't I use that to build a low-cost gunshot detection system? I did exactly that and spent the entire summer building a prototype and refining it. At the height of this work, I was able to publish a blog article in the Maker Pro journal about my implementation.

Something I’m really proud of is building Storylight, my mobile bookstore. I started it from scratch and turned it into something that people actually show up for and support. It’s focused on romance, fantasy, diverse voices, and trending reads, but more than that, it’s about creating a space where people can connect over books. I’ve been able to host pop-ups, events, and collaborate with other small businesses, and seeing people get excited about reading again because of something I built is the best feeling. It’s definitely pushed me outside of my comfort zone, but I’m really proud of how it’s grown and where it’s going.

One project I’m especially proud of is building a custom GPT to solve a real workflow challenge I was facing with Microsoft Dynamics. Finding the correct product codes was time-consuming and left room for error, so I created a tool that could instantly return the right codes based on simple inputs. It saved me a significant amount of time and made my proposal process more efficient and accurate. I’ve also enjoyed exploring the creative side of AI by building my own website, Lloydcommunications.com, using AI tools to help with design, content, and structure.

I made an automated trade bot for an online platform that has a player-driven economy. With my interest lying in automation security, and just my nerdy interest in player-driven games, I felt it was a perfect project for me. There were many different factors I had to account for, such as the endpoints being undocumented, automation ethics, and implementing fair logic when generating trades. I was able to reverse engineer what went under the hood when a trade was sent manually, and I was able to eventually automate it programmatically. I learned how to capture requests I was sending them and how to create artificial payloads. I learned how employ ethical automation behavior in my bot, where I ensured that traffic was limited so I wouldn't overwhelm the servers on the other end. Additionally, I also had to create logic to generate trades that were win-wins, and not just lowballs that were unfair for the other side. It was a really fun project and I was really proud of it when it actually worked. After a month of running it (100 trades a day between other players in the virtual community), it made about $40 USD worth of the virtual currency. Which is great for something that worked passively for me. On top of that, the returns scaled with how much value my account had, so it could go as high as $300 USD a month.

One thing I’m really proud of is creating community-centered events in Mobile through both my work as an Event Coordinator and through my own creative projects like Yap Society. I love bringing people together and creating experiences that make people feel connected, welcomed, and excited about their city. A project I’m especially proud of was creating “The Book Was Better,” an outdoor movie night inspired by the love of books, film, and community. I helped build the concept from the ground up, including the branding, marketing, social media promotion, vendor coordination, partnerships, and interactive activities for attendees. Seeing people show up, engage with the experience, and enjoy themselves made all the hard work worth it. I’m also proud of helping grow my family’s business, A&J Catering. I’ve supported the business through marketing, event coordination, content creation, and organization while helping us connect with more customers and opportunities in our community. What makes me most proud is being able to take an idea that starts small and turn it into something real that people can experience and remember. Creating things that bring people joy and connection is something I’m passionate about, and it’s shown me that entrepreneurship is not just about business, but also about impact.

I'm in the midst of a multi year journey developing quite a niche product. I've always been into drones, and in particular high performance fpv drones. Back around Covid I noticed there's a need for camera stabilizers (gimbals) that can handle high speed drone flight for cinema and broadcasting purposes. I moved here to Alabama 4 years ago to focus on this full time, with an emphasis on American based manufacturing. After mild success and much trouble scaling my first generation product, I'm around the corner from a 2nd generation product, but facing common challenges with scaling manufacturing and assembly. I'm interested to see what guidance and resources might be available, particularly from someone who's familiar with this region. My first generation products can be found on my site: gohstanddesigns.com

Something I’m proud of is building Rekme, a tool that helps people manage the recommendation letter process for applications. If someone is applying to schools, jobs, scholarships, or other programs that require recommendation letters, there are usually a lot of moving pieces. They have to ask the right people, keep track of deadlines, send reminders, and make sure each letter gets where it needs to go. Rekme is meant to help with that by making the whole process feel more organized, clear, and less stressful. I’m proud of it because it takes a problem that many people quietly struggle with and turns it into something more manageable. Instead of people juggling everything in their heads or across random notes and emails, the goal is to give them one place to stay on top of what’s been done, what still needs attention, and what comes next. I like that it’s practical, but also genuinely helpful during an important moment in someone’s life.

m building a job application dashboard that rivals tools like Teal HQ — an all-in-one system so I don't have to pay for fragmented tools or lose track of where I am in every pipeline. Building it has taught me how to vibe-code and what systems thinking actually feels like in practice. I plan to keep using it even after I land a role so switching jobs is always efficient. One of the things I’m most proud of is building a narrative and evaluation framework that helps mission‑aligned organizations move from information overload to clarity and action. I built it by blending systems thinking, storytelling, and culturally responsive evaluation practices. It’s meaningful to me because it gives leaders language and tools to make decisions with confidence — and it honors the lived experiences of the communities they serve. Seeing organizations use it to strengthen their strategy, communicate their impact, and build alignment across teams has been incredibly rewarding. It’s a reminder that ideas rooted in dignity and clarity can truly shift how people work and lead.

In January 2025, I started hosting a Coffee Club in my 18-unit apartment building to get to know my neighbors, and since then, we've built true community. We've hosted everything from Wine Down Wednesdays, Progressive Dinners, our street's first-ever Chili Cook-Off, and even recently a crawfish boil. What started a way for someone to hold a package for me has grown into real friendship. Now, I'm working on expanding Coffee Club outside of my apartment building and to the rest of my neighborhood, and even possibly other apartment buildings in Birmingham and elsewhere. I also started a TikTok account to document everything I've been doing with Coffee Club and what I'm learning, and I even had a TikTok video hit 200k views last week because of a story about how one of my neighbors texted me at 2AM (and not for that reason - but rather to take her to the hospital). We've built something truly special at my apartment building, and I'm very interested in expanding it to the rest of my community.

One thing I’m really proud of is how I’ve been able to support people emotionally when they’re going through difficult times. Over time, I’ve become someone my friends and family can talk to when they feel stressed, overwhelmed, or confused. I’m not a professional, but I try to listen carefully, stay calm, and help them understand their feelings instead of feeling lost in them. Sometimes that means just being there and listening without judgment, and other times it means helping them think through what’s bothering them in a more balanced way. I’ve learned how important it is to make people feel heard and not alone, especially during emotional or stressful moments. This has taught me a lot about empathy, patience, and emotional awareness.

The project I am most proud of building is Kineo, an autonomous health assistant I co-developed during the Apple PROPEL National Innovation Challenge. We saw an opportunity to bridge the gap between physical recovery and intelligent clinical scheduling. Our goal was to build an application that didn't just passively track workouts, but actively aided in clinical recovery and adaptive health management. As the technical architect, I engineered a 3D movement pipeline utilizing Apple's Vision Framework to track a 17-joint human skeleton in real-time. To make the platform truly actionable, I integrated HealthKit and CareKit to ingest passive health signals and automate clinical task scheduling for the user. To ensure maximum user privacy and maintain low-latency performance, I architected an on-device machine learning engine using Core ML. This allowed the system to locally classify the user's physical readiness into adaptive recovery bands without relying on slower cloud computations. The result was a fully functioning, high-impact prototype. Out of 136 universities nationwide, Kineo was selected as one of nine national finalists. My team and I earned the incredible opportunity to travel to Austin, Texas, and pitch our product roadmap live to C-level executives at Apple's headquarters. I am profoundly proud of Kineo because it represents the perfect intersection of complex software engineering and genuine human empathy. It required pushing my technical boundaries with computer vision and machine learning, but ultimately, it was a product designed to tangibly improve user health and recovery.

One project I'm especially proud of is a language-learning web app called WordWise that I started building with a team. The goal was to help users improve their vocabulary, grammar, and language skills through interactive quizzes and gamified learning. I worked on the development side, using technologies like Python, Django, React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript while learning many of them along the way. What makes me proud of this project is that it pushed me outside my comfort zone. I had to learn new technologies, collaborate with others, and solve problems I had never encountered before. It taught me how to break down large challenges into smaller tasks and showed me how technology can be used to create tools that help people learn and grow.

PulseCheck bridges the gap between complex medical syncs and daily patient compliance. While a user speaks with their physician, Granola extracts the unstructured conversation into precise clinical entities. In real time, PulseCheck ingests this live markdown summary via the Lovable gateway connector and translates sterile text blocks into a liquid-glass, responsive patient dashboard. The application maps prescriptions onto a chronological timeline with micro-animated check-ins and an absolute "Now" tracker, loops action items into a unified spring-physics progression ring, and translates dense clinical jargon into friendly, reassuring terms with a tap. Finally, it uses active progress state arrays to compile and export optimized portal updates back to the clinician—transforming stressful doctor visits into clear, actionable health milestones.

During my Master’s program in Computer Science, I designed and executed a comprehensive Sales Data Analysis project for a corporate client ("Castor"). The goal was to transform large volumes of raw, unorganized sales and transaction records into clear, actionable business strategies. I built a data pipeline to clean and structure the datasets, then developed an analytics framework to uncover hidden trends in customer purchasing behavior, peak sales periods, and product performance. What I am most proud of isn't just the technical execution or the clean code, but the final outcome: translating complex data into intuitive visual dashboards that directly helped stakeholders identify new revenue opportunities and optimize their inventory. It showed me firsthand how data-driven insights can build and scale a business.

I am incredibly proud of designing and launching our "Hub-and-Spoke" operational model for Burger Box. Rather than taking on the heavy debt of traditional brick-and-mortar expansion, we engineered a system that pairs a centralized commissary kitchen with lean, high-velocity mobile units. Bringing this to life required balancing a lot of moving parts—including navigating local commercial zoning laws and executing precise menu engineering—to ensure the concept could scale efficiently. Seeing this blueprint successfully transition from a concept into an operational reality that generated over $500K+ in revenue per truck—while maintaining strict cost controls—is my proudest professional achievement. For me, it proved that the right operational system can successfully challenge traditional restaurant economics.
