I’m an employee who wants to think more creatively

As someone who works primarily in advisory services for small businesses, I’m often encountered with bad UIs and low-utilization softwares that are the centerpiece of a business due to an owner or manager making the call to invest entirely into the platform several years back, where the company now feels pinned to the product. These platforms usually create mass inefficiencies and nuance to the every day process, yet due to specifics of the company’s products or services, or just the daunting task of switching platforms, the company remains in place with their platform. Just recently, I was able to identify an issue with one of my company’s platforms, identify the missing pieces, and utilize Claude and a coworker to create a web-based application for this company to redirect a great portion of its day-to-day operations through. They’ve now used this for a month and are asking for more features to be added!
