I’m already building something and want to take it further
What I'm most proud of is building the New Mindset Mental Wellness Ecosystem, a comprehensive, community-centered approach to improving mental wellness. At the heart of the ecosystem is Mentalocity™, a digital mental health literacy platform that empowers individuals with accessible education and practical tools to strengthen emotional well-being. Complemented by a future Mental Wellness Mobile Unit, community outreach, Mental Health First Aid training, coaching, and resource navigation, the ecosystem creates multiple pathways for people to access support wherever they live, learn, work, and worship.
New Mindset Ecosystem
Week 2 of Unlock Alabama Building the Toy #BuildingOutLoud #UnlockAlabama What I envision, deploying a Mobile Mental Wellness Unit that brings Mental health education, coaching, and resources directly into rural & underserved communities. Feedback is welcomed! Let's discuss this vision & how we can bring it too past!!
New Mindset Ecosystem
Marketing Video "As I received feedback, the concept evolved. The Mobile Unit became much more than a vehicle. It became a welcoming space designed for education, privacy, technology, and connection. Each conversation helped improve the design and reminded me that customer feedback is one of the most valuable tools a builder can have."
New Mindset Ecosystem
Week 4 Launching "Then came my biggest pivot. I realized the Mobile Unit wasn't the entire solution. It was one part of something much larger. That's when I introduced the New Mindset Mental Wellness Ecosystem—a connected system that combines Mentalocity™, community outreach, mental health literacy, coaching, Mental Health First Aid, and the Mobile Wellness Unit. Together, these create a continuous pathway of support instead of one isolated service."
New Mindset Ecosystem
"Next, I launched the Mentalocity™ pilot. Mentalocity™ is our digital mental wellness platform that provides education, self-guided learning, practical coping tools, and resource navigation. Instead of waiting until it was perfect, I invited real users to test it, share feedback, and help shape its future." "One of the most impactful experiences during this challenge was interviewing potential users. Parents, college students, and community leaders all shared valuable insights. Their feedback confirmed there is a real need for accessible mental wellness resources while also helping me improve both Mentalocity™ and the Mobile Unit experience. Instead of building based on assumptions, I began building based on evidence."
New Mindset Mental Wellness Ecosystem. Mental Wellness Everyday & Everywhere
This week focused on using data to validate assumptions, measure engagement, and guide future decisions for both Mentalocity™ and my overall Mental Wellness Ecosystem. On the Mentalocity™ pilot, 53 users registered, with 46 participants (87%) completing the pre-assessment, providing valuable baseline data. Users have started 47 learning modules, completed 67 worksheets, 39 learning sections, and 15 quizzes, with an average quiz score of 73%, demonstrating early knowledge retention. While average module completion is currently 8%, the data provides a benchmark for improving engagement and retention. Most users are ages 18–24, confirming strong interest from college students. The top reported challenges include anxiety, overthinking, time management, and motivation, while the most requested topics are stress management, self-care, mindset, anxiety, and depression. I also analyzed LinkedIn analytics to understand how my builder journey is resonating with others. During the reporting period, my content generated 2,635 impressions and reached 779 unique members. My Unlock Alabama "Building Out Loud" post was the top performer with 720 impressions, 301 members reached, 79 engagements, 34 comments, and 3 reposts. The Mental Wellness Mobile Unit marketing video generated 120 video views, over one hour of watch time, and a 31-second average watch duration, validating video as an effective storytelling tool. The biggest lesson this week is that data extends beyond numbers, it tells a story. Mentalocity™ analytics are helping me better understand user needs and improve the platform, while LinkedIn analytics are showing that authentic storytelling, transparency, and community impact create meaningful engagement. Together, these insights are helping me make evidence-based decisions as I continue building a digital and mobile mental wellness ecosystem to better serve rural and underserved communities.
New Mindset Ecosystem
Week 7 Storytelling My passion is improving access to mental wellness resources for rural and underserved communities. Throughout my career in education, mental health, and community outreach, I kept seeing the same challenge, people wanted help, but barriers like transportation, stigma, and limited resources prevented them from getting it. That challenge inspired me to build something different." "Unlock Alabama changed how I think as an entrepreneur. I learned to test early, ask better questions, embrace feedback, and let data shape my decisions. Building in public wasn't always comfortable, but it made my solution stronger. Today, I have much more than an idea—I have a validated ecosystem that's already creating impact."
New Mindset Mental Wellness Ecosystem
As I wrap up the Unlock Alabama 8-Week Challenge, I'm walking away with much more than a pitch, I have greater clarity, stronger validation, and renewed confidence in the future of New Mindset Consulting LLC. Throughout this journey, I learned the importance of: ✅ Listening deeply to customers before building. ✅ Testing ideas quickly and learning from real feedback. ✅ Measuring what matters through meaningful data and analytics. ✅ Staying focused on solving one problem well before scaling. ✅ Building with purpose, resilience, and a willingness to adapt. This experience strengthened my vision for our Mental Wellness Ecosystem, including Mentalocity™ and the future Mental Wellness Mobile Unit, as we work to make mental wellness education and resources more accessible in rural communities. I'm grateful to the Unlock Alabama team, mentors, fellow builders, and everyone who shared feedback, tested Mentalocity™, and encouraged this journey. Every conversation helped shape what's next. The challenge may be ending, but the work is just beginning. Here's to continuing to innovate, learn, and create meaningful impact across Alabama and beyond.
