I’m an employee who wants to think more creatively

I am currently building a website for my fiancé and I’s wedding. I am still in the process of building it but it currently has a login system connected to a google sheet as the back end for the guest list so that attendees can rsvp through the website. I am hosting it on a docker container in my own server. I have also been working on a project at work to enable us to track costs and reclaimed money for lost or damaged shipments, as the company I work at does not currently track lost revenue or recouped costs associated with shipping carrier claims. It uses a Microsoft list as the data storage, with a form being used to intake claims made by our warehouse. The salesperson will get an automated email alert that a claim was filed for one of their orders and will give them the details as well as any attachments uploaded. The emails are automated through Microsoft power automate. I am working on streamlining the process for reminding the responsible party of any open claims that haven’t been closed out and allowing the claims to be updated from the notification with ease to increase adoption as well as trying to capture all the data. I am proud of these projects because they made me realize that I enjoy systems, optimization, and automation and also made me realize the capability AI has to assist me in building things I never would have imagined being able to build myself, as my background is in mechanical engineering.
